Going on a date with someone that’s taken is a messy affair. Where do you keep your hands? Do you open the door for her? Do you split the bill? There are no rules and you’re in a constant tension with your actions and emotions. But you go anyway because she’s not off limits til she’s married right? Yuck. That’s the typical emotion you have when you hear your friends or strangers share a similar story. Yet here you are now…in the same situation…about to make the same mistake.
So you walk up to her..she’s already at the bar. Your pants are too tight…they’re always too tight when you’re nervous. She turns around. Smiles. The way your best friend smiles. Not the crooked were about to fuck smile. To say she looks good is an understatement. You took the bait…hook, line, and sinker. Does she know this? She has too…but she’s not that type. She doesn’t play that game. Your lips are dry. Hers aren’t.
FiftyThree, Made With Paper
Designer and illustrator Michael Rose is the man behind PAPERFACES, an experiment to draw a portrait every day on Paper. This weekend, Michael unveiled his latest creation, a sketch based on the FiftyThree About page featuring our team portraits by photographer Lee Towndrow.
We’re thrilled by the honor. (Thanks, Michael!)
