These SpaceX Travel Posters Will Make You Want To Get Your Ass To Mars

December 30, 2013 – 05:24 pm

Elon Musk’s Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, better known as SpaceX, may be currently involved in the boring but highly necessary business of manufacturing reusable rockets, but its future goal is to travel to and colonize Mars. In fact, SpaceX’s Red Dragon Mars mission was proposed for funding in 2013 and 2015 as a NASA Discovery mission but was not able to obtain funding for a 2021 launch. However, that won’t stop Elon Musk from populating the red planet with Tesla drivers. He has said that he hopes to reveal a revised Mars plan later this year and these retro travel posters, released by SpaceX over the weekend, back up that goal.

  • avatar Will the reentry of the SpaceX Dragon after the upcoming mission be visible to the naked eye? Where?
    • It will be viewable from a boat four hundred miles west of Los Angeles. I suppose if it reentered at night, it would be viewable from some mid-Pacific location, like Micronesia.
